Painter and artist Shara Hughes was approached by the Metropolitan Opera's Gallery Met with the project of creating a short film inspired by Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin". Bringing my animation background to the collaboration, we shot Shara's unique melting ice cream and candle sets in her studio and edited the time-lapse photography into animated scenes. The short film was shown live during the April 22, 2017 performance of Eugene Onegin in HD transmission.
